Welcome

I strive to provide you with the tools and knowledge to build and maintain a more fulfilling life. With more than 15 years of experience providing therapy and counseling to adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups, I have successfully helped my clients to understand the roots of their concerns and how to approach and work through the deeper issues they are facing. I specialize in couples and group psychotherapy, areas in which I have received post-doctoral training.

Each person has unique needs and goals in their therapy. I will not just passively listen, but will engage with you and share my thoughts and perspectives when appropriate. I strive to provide my clients with an atmosphere of flexibility, warmth, acceptance, compassion, and humor. At times I may challenge you. Many people come to me who are not able to initially articulate a specific concern but express a feeling of emptiness, a lack of meaning in their life, or simply feel overwhelmed by life. Others are experiencing relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma and PTSD, gender issues (LGBTQIA+), or are navigating through life transitions such as dating/marriage/divorce/break-up, career, education, location, and family changes.

If you and your partner are seeking to strengthen your relationship or resolve issues that may be causing disconnection or distress, I will provide a space in which both of you can be heard and understood. Rather than take sides or assign blame, I focus on encouraging authentic communication through recognition that each partner is a dynamic part of the relationship. I have advanced training in Gottman-informed couples therapy and have worked extensively with all gender-identifying couples to help them improve communication and overall relationship satisfaction.

Group therapy can be helpful for individuals dealing with relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. My aim is to create a safe environment in which members can observe, understand, and try out new ways of relating to themselves and others. Groups can be very effective at helping members become more emotionally intelligent, self-aware, and capable of having deeply satisfying and effective relationships.

I can conduct in-depth, tailored psychological evaluations for clients who would like to gain more insight into underlying concerns or answer questions about themselves. I utilize a collaborative approach in the evaluation process and provide straightforward, clear feedback. Such evaluations can be helpful when you have recurring issues that have not responded to treatment or intervention. At other times, clients may simply want an evaluation for self-exploration purposes.

I offer day and evening sessions. For a consultation, please contact me by phone or email.
